DESCRIPTION:🎄 TransSober Drug & Alcohol-Free Community Christmas Dinner – Year 3! 🎄\nWe’re thrilled to welcome you back for the third annual TransSober Drug & Alcohol-Free Christmas Dinner – a festive\, inclusive celebration for everyone in our community Trans + gender queer community 📅 \nDate:Sunday\, December 14th\nLocation: The Community Kitchen Brighton\nCost: Free (donations welcome)Join us for a celebration filled with delicious food\, joyful company\, and festive cheer – all in a warm\, drug and alcohol-free environment.  There are two ways to take part: \n\nYou’re welcome to help us cook and prepare the meal\, then join in the dining and celebrations.\nor you can simply come along to enjoy the festive meal and good company.\n\nPlease note: You only need one ticket—either a free ticket or a donation ticket. You do not need both.\nIf you’re coming to help cook and prepare the meal\, please arrive from 10:15 AM.\nIf you’re just coming to enjoy the meal\, you’re welcome to arrive from 1:00 PM.\nWe aim to start eating around 1:30 PM. \nRegister Free here\n  \nWhat to Expect: \n\nA full Christmas dinner with all the trimmings\nOptions for meat\, vegan\, and gluten-free diets\nLaughter\, connection\, and community spirit\nA safe and welcoming space for all Trans + Gender Queers\n\nThis event is open to anyone from the trans+ gender queer community\, as we know how difficult it can be to find festive events that are drug and alcohol-free. TransSober is all about coming together\, and creating joyful sober memories in a space that supports wellness and belonging. \nImportant Notes: \n\nWhile the event is free\, donations are appreciated to help us continue offering these events.\nThis event has previously been fully booked with a waiting list\, so it’s vitally important that you let us know if you’re unable to attend. We want to avoid wasting food and ensure everyone who wants to join has the chance.\nPlease only book a ticket if you’re sure you can attend. DESCRIPTION:Join our free & friendly weekly ONLINE Drop-in Group every Thursday from 6pm.  This is ideal if you cannot travel\, or live outside of the Brighton area – allows people from anywhere in the country to access our services! \nA computer with webcam or a smart phone is required to access this group\, which is provided by ZOOM or a similar platform. To get access to this session\, just email Vernon at online@transsober.org and you’ll receive the access link for \nThese are volunteer-led groups facilitated by volunteers from the trans and non-binary community\, all of whom have a range of lived-experience of drug and/ or alcohol use and its associated problems\, but are now living drug and alcohol-free. \nThe purpose of the group is to provide an informal\, online weekly support opportunity that attendees can build into their routine: a place where trans and non-binary people can come together in a safe\, non-judgmental space. We support each other through sharing experiences of all aspects of life\, whether that be directly around your drug and/or alcohol use\, or simply everyday life. \nThis is a drop-in\, so people can come and go as they please.
