Rhythm Retreat is organized by TransSober\, \nIf you are unable to attend please cancel your ticket or let us know\, so it can be given to someone else\, TransSober understand people can’t always make events however\, we do lose a lot of money from people not turning up and no notifying us\, \n\n\n\n\nWho are Rhythm Retreat’s TransPride Special DJs ?\nRhythm Retreat regular Xandice Armah aka DJ Xzan (they/he) is a queer and trans Brighton-based DJ and co-founder of @galpalsclub\, an LGBTQ+ club night centering queer women\, trans and non-binary people. Xzan is the biggest proponent for playing what you love and playing it loud. This mantra comes to life in the form of their high energy\, hyperactive sets\, ricocheting between queer pop party anthems and deep-cut club trax and wildcards. Xzan is an open-format DJ in the fullest sense\, they have no respect for the boundaries of gender and hold the same reverence for genre. You can follow them at @xzandj to find out where they’re playing next. \nDJ Amyfist (they/she) is a gender fluid sober multi-genre DJ who taught themselves to DJ in 2023 after getting sober. Music has always been a huge part of their life and they thank their sobriety for pushing them to explore their love of DJing after reflecting and feeling like they were missing out on a huge part of themselves – dancing! They love to party even more in sobriety\, being a regular both on the dance floor and on the decks at sober raves across Brighton and London. They have a fresh multi-genre approach to mixing\, getting the vibes just right across a variety of genres. Enjoy a peaceful sauna session\, optional shoulder and neck massage \,participate in creative healing activities\, indulge in a delicious picnic\, and gather around the fire pit with Az Franco for an evening of warmth and connection. \nThis event is the perfect opportunity to unwind\, connect with nature\, and nourish your mind\, body\, and soul. Don’t miss out on this unique experience! \nThe timings of the day are detailed below: \n\n1.30pm:  Meet at Stanmer Sauna\n2.00pm:  Sauna Experience with optional shoulder and neck massage for Queer Clinics Nyssa\n4.00pm:  Az Franco’s Creative Healing by the Pond\n5.30pm:  Fire Pit Picnic/Social Time\n\nThe day is going to be full of things to do\, but you don’t have to stay for the entire duration. To get access to this session\, just email Vernon at online@transsober.org and you’ll receive the access link for \nThese are volunteer-led groups facilitated by volunteers from the trans and non-binary community\, all of whom have a range of lived-experience of drug and/ or alcohol use and its associated problems\, but are now living drug and alcohol-free. \nThe purpose of the group is to provide an informal\, online weekly support opportunity that attendees can build into their routine: a place where trans and non-binary people can come together in a safe\, non-judgmental space. We support each other through sharing experiences of all aspects of life\, whether that be directly around your drug and/or alcohol use\, or simply everyday life. \nThis is a drop-in\, so people can come and go as they please.
