TransSober Wellbeing bags

Free wellbeing bags

We have free “wellbeing bags” with funding from NSUN ( National Survivors Users Network). Wellbeing bags contain items from companies such as Lush and Bird & Blend tea, Rainbow over Bute, and Rolling Rainbow Crafts.

The bags include item such as soap bars, bath bombs and toiletries, therapeutic colouring books and pencils, healthy foods, herbal teas, cosy socks, snacks, vouchers for tea and coffee at the local LGBTQI+ café etc. We offer wellbeing bags (one bag per person) to people who attend our groups and use our services, as we know an act of kindness can go a long way to giving people a sense of well-being and make them feel valued.

This is important for people who are struggling with drugs and alcohol issues. Something positive and an act of kindness can have a positive effect on well-being, welfare and mental health, plus the bags promote activities other than things that involve drugs or alcohol.

Please contact info@transsober.com if you or your company would like to donate items to our wellbeing bags.

Book us for Speaking Services

We also now offer speaker services where you can book a member of the committee and sometimes a service user to make a speech or presentation at an event or on panel or come along to chat to your group.

We can talk about a range of things such as our own personal experiences and journeys of being trans and non-binary and how we came about learning to live drug and alcohol free, and how we managed this within our lives. Some of the unique experiences of being trans non-binary and the impact that has on your health and well-being and drug and alcohol use. The difficulties of accessing services and the challenges that come with that being trans non-binary and setting up and running support groups.  Challenges within accessing drug and alcohol services to trans/non-binary people. Email us at info@transsober.org for availability.
